There's some sort of law of the universe, that in any time travel story, it's inevitable that Nazis will get mentioned somewhere.
Oh my...
I swear I did not know this until I did a search just now, after writing the opening sentence of this annotation...
But yes, there's a trope about it. And, what's more, that trope is even more restrictive than what I mentioned above, yet this strip still fits it.
