I expected a phone trope explaining the one-sided phone conversation in fiction, where you only hear one side of the conversation and have to imagine what the other person is saying. It seems like such a commonly depicted thing that I was sure there'd be a page about it on TV Tropes.

2024-09-04 Rerun commentary: Hmm. I just looked through all the Phone Tropes on TV Tropes, and I still don't see any about the one-sided conversation where the audience can only imagine what the other party is saying.

I wonder if it's been proposed but rejected as not trope-worthy?
