1 Ophelia: Okay, I like it. But where are we going to film 1536 period exteriors in Sydney?
2 Shakespeare: Oh, we'll do it all in CGI! Mercutio knows computer stuff.
2 Mercutio: Wait, what?!
3 Ophelia: I don't think it's quite that easy. He'd need a huge render farm, for starters. All the cutting edge hardware.
4 Mercutio: Well, hey, I guess I can give it a go...!

In England, and many parts of Europe, you can film 16th century period exteriors just by going to certain towns and blocking traffic down certain streets. In Sydney, there are no buildings older than 1793, and precious few surviving buildings older than about 1830.
It's one of the things that fascinates me endlessly when I travel - seeing architecture more than a couple of hundred years old - since I can't see any of it where I live.
