Comic #4171

1 Ishmael: There they are. You create a diversion. I’ll go in and rescue Elspeth while they’re occupied.
2 Giuseppe: Un diversion?
2 Ishmael: You know, a distracting noise or something.
3 Giuseppe: Ah! I sing opera!
3 Giuseppe: {singing} All'alba, vincerò!
4 Giuseppe: {singing ever more lustily} Vinceròòò! Vinceeeeeròòòòòòò!!!
4 Ishmael: Wow, you’re really Puccini the envelope there.

When brainstorming this strip, I originally had Giuseppe say: "Ah! I sing Verdi!" and then launch into:

La donna è mobile
Qual piuma al vento

However the punchline eluded me, and eventually I had to redo it this way.

If anyone can tell me what the punchline would have been with Verdi, I'd be most grateful.
