Lexicographical note: "Diversionary" doesn't really mean "having two different versions". That is the joke.
The English word version comes from the Middle French version, from Medieval Latin versio (the act of turning or changing), from Classical Latin vertere (to turn, to convert, or to be changed).
Since the word version comes from a Latin root, it takes the Latin prefix indicating duality, namely bi-, rather than the Greek di-.
So the correct word for "having two different versions" is of course biversionary.
