3 Prof. Jones: A large sheltered harbour makes a bay a one of the best locations to build a city! What’s surprising is there aren’t more cities by bays.
4 Prof. Jones: {to Emily} Not to mention ports and harbours that aren’t actually called bays.

The background photo is a little anachronistic, as the famous Fisherman's Wharf sign in San Francisco wasn't erected until 1968. Unfortunately I didn't take any photos of San Francisco in the 1930s, so this one I took in 2018 will have to do.
