2013-09-19 Rerun commentary: I didn't just want to introduce a female character to this theme. I wanted to introduce a strong and competent female character, not merely a damsel in distress to be rescued by the male heroes.

After all, there are hardly any strong female characters in this comic. Well, after Terry, Alvissa, Paris, Ophelia, Dame Jane freakin' Goodall, that is.
