1 Yoda: {to Luke at a computer} Use the FORTRAN.
2 Luke: All right, I'll give it a try.
2 Yoda: No! Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try.
3 Luke: I can't! The grammar is too hard!
4 Yoda: Grammar matters not. Look at me. Judge me by my grammar, do you?

2012-01-25 Rerun commentary: I was shocked when I started work on my honours degree in astrophysics that real research scientists were still using FORTRAN for analysing data. Specifically, FORTRAN 77.
Now, I'm sure there are still scientists using FORTRAN (or Fortran as it became de-all-capitalised with the 1990 revision), since so much legacy code is written in it, and because it is actually a powerful language for heavy duty number crunching. (I certainly wouldn't want to write a GUI in it, though.)
