1 {scene: the Death picket line}
1 Death 1: It's the 61st anniversary of D-Day. So, we pause to remember all those who fell on this day.
1 Death 2: Yes, we have much to be thankful for. The sacrifices they made...
1 Death 3: Indeed. So everyone could receive the benefits of their courage.
1 Death of Insanely Overpowered Fireballs: Yeah. We all made quota that day.

On the 6th of June, 1944, the Allies landed on the beaches of Normandy in an operation designed to retake western Europe from Nazi Germany. We all owe the men and women who played their parts in that operation an enormous debt. The world would be a vastly different place today without their efforts and sacrifices, almost certainly worse off.
I meant to run this last year, for the 60th anniversary of D-Day. Unfortunately, because I work a couple of weeks in advance, I'd already queued up a sequence of strips and by the time I realised I hadn't inserted this strip, it was too late. So I've been sitting on this script for over a year.
Historically speaking, D-Day was no laughing matter, of course. But I am of the opinion that you can treat a serious subject with respect and still get some humour out of it at the same time.
