2 Prof. Jones: {free of his ropes, standing next to Monty} How about I help you with those?
2 Monty: Dad! How did you...?
3 Prof. Jones: {untying Monty} I just went to scratch my nose and the ropes fell off.
4 Monty: Dr Smith didn't tie you up properly?
4 Prof. Jones: She must have been distracted by my finely toned physique.

Fair enough. Any woman would be.

2018-08-09 Rerun commentary: The intended story implication here is that Dr Smith tied up Monty really well, so he couldn't escape, knowing that he'd be the first one to try to struggle out of his bonds. But she deliberately tied the elder Joneses more loosely, so that they would be able to get out of their ropes without too much difficulty. All of this is cleverly designed so that the Joneses will be able to follow Dr Smith and the Nazis... but not too closely so as to tip the Nazis off that Dr Smith was deliberately setting it up this way.

She's much more cunning than anyone realises.
