2020-09-05 Rerun commentary: Obviously the format of this strip is a bit unusual. I don't recall exactly what I was thinking at the time I made it, but probably that the idea of rotating the entirety of what would otherwise be a fairly normal strip (except the text) by 90° was pretty cool. The fact that the normal sitting orientation in landscape aspect ratio converts in portrait orientation to represent the reclined launch position of the astronauts is also pretty cool.

And of course the vertical strip orientation echoes the vertical nature of a rocket. And the countdown actually counts down. It's a lot of little details coming together to make this pretty darn clever, if I do say so myself.
