That's the really annoying thing about Who Wants to be a Millionaire? - the vast amount of stretching and time wasting and "tension building" that the host goes through to prevent giving away vast sums of cash on every episode. If you condensed a typical show down to about 4 or 5 minutes, it might be vastly more watchable.
Actually, that may apply to a lot of TV shows.
Let's just not think about applying that principle to overlong and extended webcomics...
