Heh heh. Yes, I love messing with your heads.
I haven't read them again since. Though I did reread The Hobbit fairly recently - not specifically to have done so before the film comes out in a few weeks. I actually read it out aloud to my wife, who'd not read it herself before. She's now eagerly looking forward to the movie.
Although she regularly reads books herself, it's kind of cool to take a story you like and read it aloud for someone who's not read it before. I highly recommend it.
