2012-12-26 Rerun commentary: The second panel is inspired by the appearance of the cluster of court buildings near St James' Church in Sydney. No, seriously. The memories I have of them in my mind involve walking along a sandstone building facade to my left, which then opens up into the entry area. (I'm walking the opposite direction to the way Steve and Terry are walking - since they're going out of the building, of course.)
The fourth panel is inspired by my most febrile and tenebrous nightmares...
