Noise is a term used in the physical sciences, particularly signal and image processing, to describe some sort of interference pattern that makes the desired characteristics of a signal more difficult to determine. In this case, I simply used my graphics program to add random pixel noise to the frames.
Let's see, 2005. It was probably to a top-of-the-line model with a massive 64 kilobytes of RAM and one of those newfangled "floppy disc" drives.
