Comic #836

1 [caption]: That night at the Parthenon... {photo of the Parthenon at night}
2 Prof. Jones: Imagine what ancient gods and spirits inhabit places like this.
3 Prof. Jones: The very air is heavy with their essence.
4 Monty: {pointing} That's the smells from the souvlaki vendor over there, dad.
4 Prof. Jones: Oooh... souvlaki...

Souvlaki is a Greek dish consisting of meat (usually lamb), roasted and sliced, then eaten with salad ingredients and sauces on warm pita bread. Mmmm...

And yes, this joke is sort of a recycle of #670. So sue me.

2014-07-01 Rerun commentary: Being a temple of Athena Parthenos, one might imagine that the most likely god to inhabit the place is Athena.

As for which spirits are most likely... well, it is Greece. So ouzo probably.
