I'm currently re-reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in the vain hope that book 7 will come out some time in 2007.

2016-08-20 Rerun commentary: Deathly Hallows was indeed released in July 2007.

Apparently the title (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) was released on 21 December, 2006, a fortnight before the original publication of this strip. I'm guessing I had this one buffered before the title became public knowledge, explaining why I didn't refer to it by title in the original annotation.
