James Stud finally returns after a long hiatus. We continue our journey through Dr. No, scene by scene.

The background in panel 1 is a photo I took of the Empress Hotel in Victoria, British Columbia, on my recent vacation. It's probably a bit too grand for Government House in Kingston, Jamaica, but it was about the closest I had.

2013-05-15 Rerun commentary: The Empress Hotel in Victoria, British Columbia, really is quite impressive, and commands a fantastic position on the waterfront of Victoria's harbour. It's supposed to be a most amazing and luxurious place to stay, but alas I never went inside it. We stayed at a cheap hotel up the road, north of the city centre a bit.

One of the things the Empress is famous for is the traditional British style afternoon tea they put on in the afternoons. One day I'll have to go back there and try it.
